I am currently finishing my basement. Plan is to have painted exposed ceiling with all walls framed and dry walled.I am planning to put faced insulation in the exterior walls...but I was thinking... is the insulation really going to do anything if the ceiling is exposed therefore creating a space for the conditioned air to leave.
