I currently have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma with 200,000 miles on it. It gets about 22 city / 26 highway and has the added weight of a camper shell on it. There’s nothing wrong with the truck. I’ve had it for 14 years and it’s the only vehicle I’ve ever owned. Valued at $4,000-$5,000.
I’ve been itching for a new (pre-owned) car. I’m trying to follow the frugal lifestyle, and I want something smaller that’s more fuel efficient. I want a Toyota Yaris, which gets 32 city / 40 highway. I plan to pay cash for it, and I will have the money by Thanksgiving. Price will be $13,000-$14,000. I’m also working food delivery right now so having a fuel efficient car would definitely help. Thoughts?
