So I was supposed to start a new job at a university across the country Monday. My last day at my previous job was Wednesday, I moved out and went back to my parents house planning to leave Friday. Then today, they announced all activity at the University are cancelled until further notice because of coronavirus. Luckily the job came with free housing so I don’t need to pay rent or anything, and my parents said I can stay with them until things are figured out. I have a decent amount of savings, and staying at home will minimize my expenses. But I do have student loans and a car loan. My job hasn’t found a replacement for me yet and I left on very good terms, should I ask to keep working until they find a replacement? Or any other ideas of what I should do?
