I had my debit card stolen the other day and the thief made a few purchases before I cancelled it. They bought about $300 worth of stuff.
I honestly found Wells Fargo super accommodating in getting my money back. They did just that within 2 weeks.
However, I just noticed that Well Fargo refunded me for the $300 stolen plus one other large non-fraud purchase that was in the same time frame ($200 - was an online subscription christmas present). A total of about $500.
I was about to call them to correct this. But before I did that I vented a bit to my parents about this annoying situation. They think opening the fraud case again to correct this would be more hassle than it is worth.
Am I over-thinking this? Should I just accept that I got alittle lucky? I'm not sure how Wells Fargo got the money back from the stores the thief bought from, but could they undo that process (would they want to over $200)?
Sorry if this question is alittle low-stakes compared to other questions out there.
