So I’ve got myself in quite a shitty financial situation over the past few months. I’ve racked up a bunch of loans I cannot afford. I make around 1000 per pay check and have around 900 bi-weekly in loan payments. That’s not including hydro, internet, student loan or my cell phone. I’m 24, my wife is 22, and we are expecting a child in July and I’m really struggling to figure out how to get out of this or at least in a better place before our baby comes. In total, the amounts of loans, credit cards, and behind bills is probably around $40,000 in my name of debts. I’m not sure what to do, I have tried talking with the bank to get a few of the smaller loans paid off right away to hopefully lower the payments to a more manageable way. I’m currently looking for a new job that’s full time as I only have part time and casual work currently. I’m feeling hopeless, stressed, and ready to give in. Just hoping for any advice, no matter how harsh. I have done this to myself, which I am perfectly aware of.
