Just had a buddy of mine come help spray some doors I’m restoring. He insisted and pushed real hard to add water to the paint beforehand to let the paint settled better I countered his suggestion telling him my sprayer doesn’t need the paint thinned and will atomized it just fine into the doors. I didn’t want to continue fighting back so I said, “okay help me set up the paint and sprayer for it.”Long story short he gets to spraying and I can see TONS of material leaving the gun because he’s basically spraying water onto the doors. Do make matters worse, they were set up vertically and not lying flat on a table or saw horses. He did one and went to do another and I told him to check the first door before doing a third door.He looks at me dumbfounded, and says, “oh **** bro I think I messed up....” He was my buddy so I resisted the urge to punch him in the face. Told him it was okay and to help me sand the doors when they dried up a bit.So yes, TEST your paint first!!! Don’t look at the back and add 8 ounces of water to the can because it says it’s okay to! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/32SsS2F
