I have decided to build a room in my garage. It will be a music room for my son. I will be using metal studs for the framing. I had some questions. I am sorry I am not very good with the terminology so please ask me questions to help clarify.RoomI will be framing it using metal studs. The red wall is existing so I will not be touching it. The blue just shows why i have the odd shape. There is attic access, a garage door opener and AC unit.1) The most important question is the best way to do the little ceiling part that will go bellow the garage door. There will still be a little over 7' of space even with a ceiling under the garage door.2) what is the best way to attach pressure treated 2x4 to the cement floor before using the metal tracks? Should I use a powder gun? Should I also use liquid nail?3) do I attach the metal studs to the concrete wall or use 2x4 on the wall first? what is the best way to attach that?4) What is a good solution for soundproofing? Should I use foam panels? or double up the sheetrock and glue them together? I will be using R13 or R19 insulation in the walls. which one will work better?5) what thickness sheetrock?6) do the baseboards just get attached with glue or should i rent a nail gun? what about trim or molding?7) does green glue sound damping work? It seems very expensive.Did I miss something important that someone wants to mention?Thank you via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pIOjm2
