So somewhat embarrassingly, after decades of using credit cards, I just learned you can change your statement/billing date. If you have a large monthly expense on the first of tha month (mortgage, rent), it might be useful to offset all of your credit cards to the 15th. That way you're spreading payments out more evenly.
Some banks let you do this online (Chase, Amex, Barclay, Citi, discover, usaa). Some banks you have to call (boa, usb, usaa, wf, etc).
(Unrelated, many mortgages let you spread payments out to match your payroll, either biweekly or twice a month)
