Greetings everyone.

I posted this on r/carribean but i realised that this might be a more apt place to look for suggestions.

I'm going to get right into this - for the first time in my life i am about to take a leap of faith.

For some reason i am meant to be in the Caribbean. I need some suggestions on where you think i could go to start a new life.

I am 26 years old, i don't really have much money at all, after the flight tickets and other miscellaneous things are paid for, i won't have much money. I currently go to a university in the Netherlands but i am dropping the f* out of this school because it's not what i am passionate about and now i will listen and follow my heart. I do my own thing on the side and in the long term i will be writing, teaching and helping the community.

I know the Caribbean is huge. There is the French Caribbean where a lot of artists i listen to come from. Of course, then there are the 'Dutch' islands as well and i have met many here in the Netherlands that are from there. For some reason i am drawn to Jamaica. Would that be a suitable and feasible place for a guy like me who is almost starting from scratch? Would i be able to get a simple job to support myself - rent, food, etc.

I want to live in the nature. One day i want to be picking fruit of trees - not queuing up in grocery stores. Maybe that vision is a bit far fetched for this moment in time but with that example i'm trying to illustrate what kind of place i want to be in. But i am a simple person, i want to be free from the bullshit matrix system where you in the streets of a big city and all you see are robots who are not happy with their lives. I want to be free.

Someone recently told me that the Rastafarian guides would be able to take care of me. But i am not just going there for a vacation, it's going to be the next chapter in my life - i am sure i am not the first one, so how would the Rastafarian people (or anyone who is living closer to the nature), take to a visitor or perhaps even a 'migrant' in a circumstance like this?

Are there any other suggestions? Before i looked at the Carribean, i thought about Aus/NZ as at least i would be able to get some work as i am a native English speaker and they are extremely beautiful places that have a draw to them as well.

I am keeping all my options open and at this point it would be nice to listen to fresh perspectives, pros and cons, and other details that may help.

Appreciate your time folks.
