Hi Reddit, I need your help with this. So when I was offered the job I was given a $5000 sign on bonus , with a condition that I'll have to return it if I leave the company in the first year of employment. When I received the bonus, I just received $3000 of it, as the rest was taxed.
But now that I am leaving (within the 1st year) the company wants me to write them a check for $5000. Is there any way I can fight this ? Or, is there any way I can get the $2000 that I was taxed, back ?
