I always buy my phones used on craigslist or Facebook market place. I took a screen shot of the phone addvertisement and the back and fourth conversation on Facebook messenger when buying the phone. This worked as proof of purchase for wells fargo cell phone insurance company. They did a full screen and charging port replacement on my samsung note 8 for only $25 out of pocket. The wells Fargo cards with cell insurance have no annual fee and will cover you as long as you pay your monthly bill with the card.
