Hello folks! Need some advise on investing liquid cash (>100k) that is currently in a savings account earning 2.2% APR. Is there a better low risk investment option? I have heard of bonds and some other terms, but I am not clear how to go about investing in bonds and what a typical return rate is for them. Can this liquid asset be shoved into my company managed 401k, as that account earns much higher interest rate. I don't this liquid asset for my day to day living. Can I start an Ira and shove this money into that account? Anyone here has any insight and advise? Thanks!
