I recently went to a financial advisor to get some advice on retirement, investing, etc. He asked me how much I make and live on. He did a double take when I said I make $4,000 per month, living on about $800 of it, saving the rest. He literally said, "how do you live??"
So I want to know, how much do you all live on each month? For context, I live with my boyfriend (we split apartment rent at $400 each) and we live in Wisconsin where cost of living isn't very high. We make all of our own food and don't buy prepackaged so our grocery bill is fairly small each month.
