Fellow frugal people of reddit - have you ever felt that you are not making friends at work because your coworkers like to eat out a lot and you don’t?
My department is pretty busy and lunch is pretty much the only time we get to socialize BUT most of my coworkers eat out and since I bring my own lunch I usually end up staying in the break room. I tried eating out once a week before but at the end of the day I did the math and $15 a week adds up so now, I just go out with them on special occasions like somebody’s birthday.
Anybody else feeling lonely at work (or school) because you bring your own lunch? How do you cope?
