I'm splitting a house with four other people, which is great for saving money, but they are not very frugal. They leave the lights on 24/7 (I am constantly turning off lights), turn up the thermostat to 85 degrees in the winter while still running personal space heaters in their rooms at all times, and take hour long hot showers because they like the feeling of the hot water.

We split utilities evenly, which is starting to make me sour -- I don't turn on my lights until it gets dark, I shower at work or the gym when I can, and I only ran my space heater once this winter. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is there a way to respectively approach this with housemates? Obviously I don't want to impose my lifestyle onto theirs, but I'm starting to get bitter about our ridiculous utility bills.
