Hey everyone, I’ve never been on this subreddit before, but I think this is the best place to ask my question! Recently a close friend of mine ask for me to put my name on his RG&E bill so he would not lose power. I am unsure how that will help in the case, but that’s besides the point.
He insisted that this would not effect me at all because even though my name would be on the bill his card would be on the account and I would therefore be charged nothing. So my financial questions about this are:
1) If he ever missed a bill payment would this effect my credit or me in anyway?
2) How do this help him get the power back on? If it’s his card anyway why can’t he just keep his name on it?
3) Can I get in trouble for this because I do not live in the household with him?
