So I feel kind of stupid. I've never needed to budget until we started having kids, and I'm 3 kids in and just figuring it out.
Our take home income is about $9,500 per month, expenses are somewhat below that, but not terribly below that (don't yell, I'm doing a detailed budget for February - and every month going forward - to start figuring out exactly where our money goes). Let's say expenses are $8,000. Hoping they come in lower and we will be lowering them with this budgeting process regardless.
A chunk of that $8,000 is a car payment of $454 at 3.74%. I have $22k left on that. We have about $53k in a HYSA, with $7k in Federal refund on the way.
I'm stupid to not pay off that car with savings, right? I could then apply that payment or part of it to go towards our student loan debt.
Edit: additional debts below
Mortgage 1 - 315k at 3.875 Mortgage 2 - 82k at 4.375 Student loans - 100k at 5.25
We pay off credit cards every month.
