Due to a major oversight on my part, I was claiming "Single" Federal and State status instead of "Married" on my paychecks since January 2017, and have been receiving $50 less per paycheck (bi-monthly). I've been married that entire time, filing taxes jointly.
Is there a way I can receive the money I've been missing out on because I was claiming single status? Maybe on my tax return this year? Or am I supposed to receive the missing amount on my tax return automatically?
