My life was a lie until i tried this. I bought a 5 lb package of udon noodles (around $3.00), 34 oz bottle of soy sauce ($5.00), 12 oz jar of peanut sauce ($5.00), enough cilantro to kill an elephant (under a dollar), and 3 bags of assorted frozen veggies ($6.00) This bounty of food should last me for more than a week (soy sauce will last at least a month) at about $17.00 total!
Grab a handful of the Udon noodles, throw them into the boiling water for maybe 2 minutes and then drain them. They get super mushy really quickly, so i have learned to get them out quick to keep the noodz good and firm. Mix in a little bit of soy and peanut sauce to taste, then add the veggies in once the noodles cool down. HOLY SHIT.
For me, it's how quickly this can be made. The longest part is just getting the water to boil. Not to mention how clean it tastes is a plus. Anyone else have any combinations like this? I'm hooked!
