So we live in a 2br, 2ba house which is around 1,270sqft.My future husband thinks we can add a second story to our house for way under $45k. It would be a saltbox style house. Vaulted ceiling in the front with dormers , master bedroom, master bathroom, and two smaller bedrooms upstairs, possibly a small laundry room. Very similar to [this..](http://bit.ly/2GiiSrE this reasonable? We would only be hiring a contractor to raise the roof (lol) and frame the house up. We would be hiring a electrician obviously, but my FH would be doing the drywall, trim and painting himself. He's very talented and dabbles in bit of carpentry.I'm worried about cost of this, and worry he is vastly underestimating this expense. Can someone help me with things he may have overlooked?
