Hi, I'm in the process to ripping out my old shower/tub surround and replacing it with something new. The old tub an overflow, however I've always thought those were a bit silly as the small slit wouldn't help anything if the water was running full blast anyway. Also, not having to cut a hole in the tub would be nice, one less place to leak. Can I safely just cut off the drain overflow and cap it off? Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this? Thanks via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Yh1c5w
