Our house was wired for an alarm system when it was built. There are three keypads and various sensors throughout the house. We don't use the original alarm system and it's time for the keypads to go. I don't mind the other sensors, they're relatively unobtrusive, but the keypads look terrible. Can I simply cap off the wires and patch the holes in the drywall, leaving the wires in the wall forever, or do I need to do something else in order to remain within code? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2FlISzl
