Just wanted to share a minor win. Just had a kid and finally got all the bills from the wife's stay at the hospital. After seeing the insane amount insurance has already paid just made a quick call to the billing department to see if there was room to negotiate on my portion owed. They knocked off 25% in essence just for asking. Took 15 min in total on calls and very low effort. Could have potentially tried for more but was willing to paid what was owed if I got told no.
