I work at a large wire house and have noticed a trend of older folks having older, stock picking advisors. Usually the clients have no clue what’s going on and these dinosaurs have them in totally unsuitable portfolios or just neglect the client. A woman I inherited had more than 270k in losses over the last 10 yrs and nobody had done anything. Just please check in on your parents and make sure they’re not being taken advantage of.
