Someone in another state used her card to make 2 different $700 purchases from Nordstrom. Her bank is Chase and this is a Debit Card account. They, thankfully, always refund her money, but what is causing this!? I never have this issue. What can we do to prevent this from continuing to happen? We have canceled credit cards, changed passwords, etc. in the past, but it still happens!
If it matters, we were robbed two years ago and put fraud alerts on all accounts and froze our credit. It was a major headache. Could there be residual effects from that? Please help!
