I am looking to open my first investment account and am looking for a good platform to use. From what I've read Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade may be good starting platforms. (If you have another recommendation, let me know.) Right now I don't have a lot of time to actively manage my portfolio so I want a platform that has good options for low cost ETF and Index funds but as I learn more and become more active can easily switch into more active trading without having a significant increase in the overall cost of my trading (more than 30% increase).
I have a starting investment of $2500.00 US Dollars.
