Hi DIY, I'm looking into "building" a floating desk. I want to use one of the 98" Ikea counter tops. All the specs are the same but weight: Length: 98 " Depth: 25 5/8 " Thickness: 1 1/2 " Weight: 65-80lbs depending on modelMy question is can this be supported without legs i.e. with brackets and steel angles? If so what size? Every DIY I see they have the tools to build their own wooden or metal brackets which I do not have.
