We've never attempted to restore anything before, and don't want to ruin the dresser in the process of attempting our first one.A couple questions that I have:As you can see in many of the images, the veneer layer is pretty banged up (and coming up in a few places), and covers all of the dresser (including drawers, of which there is no pictures, sorry). How, or should, I remove this layer without damaging the wood underneath? Will it lower the overall value of the dresser to strip off the veneer layer and say, sand & stain the dresser? (Not that we want to sell it once we'd finish, but maybe...depends on space in the home). via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Ml2s1n
