Firstly some background info. I live in Australia, so that's $45k AUD. It is currently sitting in an under-performing savings account. I make 1300 a fortnight. My expenses are very little as I still live at home - roughly $150 max a week. I am saving with the intent of having enough to eventually make a house deposit one day - that's the plan.
The idea of investing in stocks intimidates me - feel free to sway me though. I'm thinking of getting a better savings account for the time being seeing as the sum is creeping up to be a substantial amount now. I am certainly open to other ideas.
