Hey guys!
Just got my offered accepted for a new home and HOPING AS ALL HECK I close in a month and a half. My issue though is that everything I own can fit into a VERY small efficiency, and I will be owning basically a 3 bed 2 bath home. My furniture consists of my crappy old bed, a glider chair, computer chair, one desk that needs replacing, a nice tv stand-new, and mismatched dishes and drapes etc. The place comes with old appliances, thank god.
TL;TD-- I am looking for advise for efficiently and frugally getting a living room set, new bedroom sets, new dishes, bookshelves/shelving, decor, paint. I am tired of my stuff looking like a picked over Goodwill. As well as tips that you've found saved you money in the long run, things you wish you thought of right away.
ANY tips, worthy handy books to buy, coupon sites anything you can think of to help a pal out. I am willing to put the effort into building things from IKEA and what not too. Any DYI, places you've ordered gently used things, I don't know. I've only ever bought garbage that didn't last me long because it was cheap and I'd deal and force it to last.
I never really tried to buy much because I was moving every year renting and school and such. But I am FINALLY trying to settle.
Anything helps! Thanks!
