I'm a hiker fond of picnicking.
I've amassed a menagerie of equipment (for lack of a better word), but realized that I didn't have any kind of bowl, or plate, to take with me.
I needed something durable that I felt comfortable sticking into my pack, that wasn't very heavy.
I thought back on what I've seen for sale in stores, and my mind (weirdly) went to pet stores.
So, I drove down to a local pet store. I went to the dog aisle, and as odd as this may seem, I wound up buying two stainless steel bowls. Not the goofy ones with the wide base; these are, as far I can tell, identical to camping tableware sold elsewhere.
They're, to be frank, great.
They costed me virtually nothing, they're easily cleaned, and best of all they're practically indestructible (as far as my purposes go).
The fact that they're so convenient/tough made me realize that I should eat out of literally just these.
It's like a lightswitch went off in my head; I'll never have to do/generate any dishes dishes ever again (besides cookware, of course).
I can't recommend such bowls enough.
