Would I be better waiting until Black Friday to get a laptop, or are Back-to-School deals better? And I've looked around at different laptops, but I'm not sure what to get. I just need a relatively cheap one that has an hdmi output jack so I can project it onto a large flat screen TV (capable of playing videos). I've seen mostly chromebooks on the lower end, but I've never had a chromebook and am hesitant to get one because I don't know how customizable they are compared to a windows computer. I've heard they work by using apps?? I prefer being able to install any programs I want onto it, not a glorified tablet/smart phone where my selection of programs is limited by what the manufacturer puts on the device via apps from a store. (I'm old school and my desktop computer still uses Windows 7). I've also considered getting a refurbished laptop from Amazon, anyone have experience going this route?
