I'm considering moving back home to Canada from Japan instead of renewing my work visa in the next couple of months, and I'm wondering what everyone's budget is? Before I left, I could afford a different lifestyle where I didn't have to worry about money, but now that I'm going to be working on my startup full time if I move back home, I'll have to live off of savings and/or contract work I find.
This is fine for me, but I'm also wondering where in Canada I can live that will help me maximize my savings and be able to budget without giving up a couple nights a month out on the town? I'm strongly considering Montreal, because I found an all inclusive "studio"/room for rent for $600/month, I'd just have to share a washroom.
