Instead of paying for passport pictures, you can take your own. Just have someone take a picture of you on a white background, and crop/size such that the pic is 2x2 with your head being 1-1 3/8 inches long. Then arrange six of these into a single 4x6 print, which can print out at the local drugstore for about 25 cents.
