I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but all the other posts about energy bills that I have found have been posted here, so I figured I'd try.

For context, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, 800 sq feet, all electric heating. My energy bill in oct was $113, 909 kWh with an average outside temp of 67 F. It went up in Nov, no big deal, to $130 with 1131 kWh and a temp of 56 F. That made sense to me. In Dec it went up some more, $190, 1721 kWh, and 50 temp, which I thought was kind of high. Now in January, it's $340, with 3207 kWh, and average temp of 35. Does the temperature explain this? It seems unbelievably high for a 1 bedroom. I've only been living on my own for eight months or so, so I don't know what I should be expecting to pay for a one bedroom apt, but this is way beyond anything anyone told me to expect. Does something seem amiss?
