The more I think about the journey myself and many of my friends have been on, the more I just think it is incredibly ridiculous that we don't make personal finance part of the core education in the US. My personal opinion is that this is in part responsible for the huge debt load we have to deal with. It seems that the LAST thing we want people to be learning the hard way is basic money management. I am going to start lobbying my local school system and see if there is any reception to such an idea.

What is the groups collective wisdom on this? Any suggested curriculum?
