I get that I'm 16 and I don't have to worry about it right now. I understand that this is whole thing is going to make me sound in over my head and overwhelmed. I just want to be prepared, considering I don't hardly know anything. I don't want to make any mistakes that I have to work harder to fix later on.

I'm currently 50/50 for joining the National Guard for the benefits and to help the military, but I know for sure I'm going to at least go to a 4 year college either way.

I haven't got a clue about what insurance is like, how much it costs, or how it works.

Is there anything I should know before I look into getting an apartment or dorm at/after college?

I know that a good 401k plan is one that the company you work for matches every dollar you put in, but what else is there to know?

What's the deal with taxes? You pay the government and then get some back later on, right? How do you know how much to pay?

What's budgeting?

I'm pretty sure your credit score is like how much landlords and banks can trust you. If I don't plan on getting a credit card and sticking only to spending the money I have at the time, is that bad for my credit score? What do I need to know here?

What is an average, decent salary that I should aim for that will pay for bills and stuff?

Most importantly, what are tricks or things that will "back me into a corner" that I need to look out for?
