Hi!
I've been encouraging my SO to start taking a closer look at her finances, and she's convinced that she wants to start budgeting... problem is, she's terrified to begin the process. It's a classic "if I'm not paying attention to it, it doesn't exist"-type deal. She knows that's bullshit, but it's still really hard for her to get down and dirty with her finances. Anyone else encountered this before? Was there any advice you used/took that helped you take the plunge?
(I ask for "positive" advice above, because I've tried the "it's going to cost more in the long run to not do it" argument, and while she understands that that's true, it doesn't seem to make her any less fearful. Reducing her apprehension is my main goal here. Thanks!)
