Okay, I'll keep this as short as possible. A few months ago, my husband and I got severely screwed by some roommates, and ended up having to cover more bills than we could handle, resulting in our bank account being overdrafted by almost $800, which we do not have the ability to pay off right now. This account has been sitting at this balance for about 2-3 months now. I am totally terrified that they're going to close the account with this huge negative balance and we will be blacklisted by other banks. We are trying to get my husband into the military, but you need a checking account to be able to join so you can get paid. This is seriously a last ditch effort, because we are drowning right now. We can ONLY pay our rent (barely), our phones have been shut off, the only reason we have electricity is because someone helped us out, and our internet is about to be shut off too. So we have literally no way to pay this debt off. Is there a bank who might take us on? A way we can get this debt erased? I'm intensely stressed out about this, because the military would solve our financial situation, but we need this sorted out first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
