A few years ago the wife and I went to Costa Rica and when walking down a street we got approached to attend a timeshare presentation for some free day trips.
To us it was obviously a scam of some sort, but being a bit bored we agreed to waste an hour of our time for the day trip. I don't remember much about the timeshare they were pushing, but the sales rep drew either a square or a T and started blathering on about us not wanting to leave our heirs with a timeshare and maintenance fees.
I guess we started asking too many pointed questions and she realized we weren't ripe for the picking so she pretty much kicked us out of her office and gave us our coupon. But I was curious if anyone knows what sales method she was trying to use on us.
