I know that thrift stores are the best option. But, I have zero fashion sense and I really want my kids to look as nice as possible.

I have one going into 2nd grade and the other entering 5th grade. Both girls, and my oldest one is definitely at an age where she's concerned about her appearance.

What should I look for in order to create multiple outfits? In the past, they've recycled the same things over and over again and because we live in a super tiny town, her peers have definitely noticed.

What should I avoid? My kids are both more "sporty" than girly and they also hate jeans, other than that, they're open to whatever. . . I just don't know how to help them look their best because, as I've said, I have zero fashion sense.

What other stores would be good to look at?

I've got maybe $100 total for the beginning of school (school supplies are going to be about $200 this year - ouch).

Any advice on frugal fashion would be greatly appreciated!
