http://ift.tt/2w3VapS'm building bookshelves and cabinets for my parents, but I can't seem to think of a clean way to work with the existing fireplace stonework. On one hand, I could put some type of trim over it, but I think the stonework might lose a lot of character. On the other hand, I could try to "mirror" the shapes of the stonework with the trim, and fill the gap more completely slightly farther back.Let me know what you all think.
