I have a screened in patio in a rear corner of my house. I am using the space as a workshop and have long term plans to close it up with vinyl siding that matches the exterior of the rest of the house. For now, I just want to protect my tools and lumber from the elements. The house is block construction, the patio roof is aluminum pan and the patio slab is 12 feet by 21 feet. I currently have a large tarp covering a portion of the long side of the patio. It's in the back, so I don't care that it looks like shit, but I'd rather not use this method to cover the rest of the screen. The best idea I've come up with is to put up plywood from the inside of the screen frame. Doing it from the inside would keep it from looking so "boarded up" from the outside, but I'm thinking the summer rains are going to turn the plywood into mold factories pretty quickly.I just feel like I'm missing a really obvious solution here. I don't want this to turn into a huge project. I have plenty of those to manage at the moment and I'd rather not spend more than $150 on the whole thing. I humbly submit to any suggestions from fellow Reddit DIYers. Even ridiculous ideas are welcome as they may wind up being the catalyst for a truly brilliant creative solution.
