I've seen a 6-month trial for Prime Student but I never attempted it as my University email is already connected to an old Amazon account. I just checked out with some stuff today and I was prompted with an offer for the trial requesting my academic level, after submitting it I was taken to the normal checkout screen with Prime Student. Here's the confirmation email I got.
