Sucks that this is my first post on reddit. I live in Vegas and was looking for last minute tickets to Coachella, found and offer for two GA tickets plus camping for $700 bucks. The listing was in Palm Springs but after talking to the person they said they lived in Maryland and that they would overnight the tickets to me. We talked for a little, google searched the image they posted and looked up the person on facebook. The person seemed nice and they gave us different options to pay. First they suggested eskrow, never used it before but after going to the website it looked legit. They also suggest money gram, saying it would be cheaper. Unfortunately, we decided to use money gram and after we had sent the money they said the post office is closed and then said they would do it first thing in the morning. They even texted us in the morning saying they were going to send it but later we tried to call and it went straight to voicemail. Of course after this happened, I was able to find a few threads on scams using money gram, which up until today have never heard of or used. Wish I had used eskrow because I feel like it would have been more secure. Hopefully this can help some else not get scammed.
