So as the title says, I am 21 years old and have had income for almost 4 years now. It has been from several jobs that I do (3 on campus and 1 online) now I have a summer internship and my annual income will exceed $10K. I was told by my friend that I can file for a tax refund and get almost all the income withheld for taxes back. My internship is in NYC but I live in California (They withheld like 35% of my paycheck). There are also a few other details that when added are kinda overwhelming me. I have roughly $1500 in net investment losses over the last 3 years that I want to claim credit for, as well as around $1000 of charitable donations too. I also have a Roth IRA which I contribute $200 too. I was told I can claim all of this for a tax credit? I am looking for the easiest and cheapest way I can file all this. I am sorry if this is the wrong place to go, I read the section of this subreddit on filing taxes but I did not understand alot of it. Any and all advice is welcome! Thank you very much!
