Hello fellow Redditors, I am in the market to buy my first real car. I am unsure if this belongs here, but I assume the frugal thread is my best option. I have not bought a car from a dealership before, and the car I own now was given to me by my parents. I have about $6,000 saved up for a new car (plus about $1,500 for what I can get when I sell my current car), and I am willing to spend around $12,000. What I ask from you guys is maybe advice on bargaining or getting the best deal possible, reliability of cars (looking at toyota's, honda's, and subaru's), or just tips on what to look for when shopping. Any other form of advice is helpful as well. Thank You!
