I currently live in Florida and make about 12 dollars an hour. And will be coming into about 10k in not to long. With this I'd like to move across the country to Washington and become an electrician.
I either would move there and find a job until I can get into the IBEW (electricians Union) or I would transfer to Washington preferably transfer depends how long the process takes here. I'm currently in the process of joining the IBEW in Florida in which I could transfer to Washington so I would have a job when I get there that way.
What else should I plan for when doing something like this. If I go there without a job will 10k last me till I get one? How do I get an apartment or some kind of living space ready while I'm on the other side of the country? Idk if people would even want to rent to me with me not being there but wouldn't want to get there and be homeless.
