My father has a waterfront property that he bought many years ago. He's planned on building on it about 10 years ago but never ended up doing anything to the property.
Right now it is basically just a cliff on the side of the road, 70ft of frontage on the Detroit River. There is no driveway, breakwall or anything right now.
My father was looking to get rid of the property and wanted to make some money from it. We were throwing around some ideas of putting a breakwall up and filling it in if we can get the required permits to do so, and putting up a gazebo and a nice boat dock.
We're looking for some other ideas if anyone has any input on ways to invest in the property.
