My financial planner is a guy whom I trust absolutely. He managed my parents money for 20+ years (they're happily retired), they've referred him to dozens of people over the years and have never once had an issue. So he knows what he's doing. He wants to put some of my money into "money management". The company he picked is called Morningstar.
Here's my question: Is there a website or an industry wide accepted way of ranking these types/size of money managers? I trust this is a good company but just wanted to see where it ranked among other similar type companies like Dunham and Associates. A Google search pulled up lists with JP Morgan and Vanguard types. I don't feel like these are comparable. I may be wrong.
Thanks!
